Salt, Sand and Sunscreen

Our life at the beach...priceless

We really are loving it here and trying to take full advantage of what we have. We have the beach right accross the street and 2 nice playgrounds within walking distance

Abbie is a kid full of energy, so it's good that we can get out so easily to go to the park and the beach. Today and yesterday were park and beach days. It was rainy yesterday morning so, we fumbled around the house all morning and bounced off the walls somewhat. I get just as antsy as she does if we can't get out in the morning. But, after naptime we walked over to Lido Beach Park and played before we went to the beach. Daddy met us at the beach with a Dora the Explorer kite! That was nice since it was a perfect kite day, very windy.

Today was a nicer morning so we were able to get out to the park and beach in the morning. By the time we left the beach Abbie was ready for lunch and a nap. She's been waking up between 5 and 6am recently which is making for a very tired baby( and Mommy).

For some reason she's been waking up soaked. She's still wearing overnight diapers, but they just aren't holding til morning. She wakes up soaked from head to toe. I feel so badly for her. That has to be an aweful feeling. I've tried to cut back on liquids at night, but she is a girl who likes her bedtime milk. She just won't let me take that away from her. It worries me a little once we start to potty train more.

Right now potty training is almost non-existant. She's still interested in flushing and putting tp in the potty, but has no interest in sitting on the pot herself. Although, sometimes I hear her go into the bathroom and shut the door. I'll give her a minute before I check on. When I go in I find her on the potty reading magazines. That's cute and I hope it's a start.

Check out the video below. You may notice that the pictures are better. PJ came home with a new camera for me yesterday. He saw me struggling with the screen issue on the other one and took pitty on me.

I'm super jealous that you live right across from the beach :)

It was DH's job to bring the leash so that is the one thing that was not packed,LOL! We aren't against it though. The LA zoo has a lot of competition with San Diego (like $35 or more to get in) and it is really quite small but great for LO's.
