We walked out to the beach last night. The water was eerily still and calm. Just a beautiful night. Today it looks like the storm is circling us. It came on shore as a tropical storm near Naples (south of us) and is working its way east across the peninsula. It's due to track back west and go up thrugh the panhandle of Florida. Yes, that means its going completly around us! It's so weird. We haven't had any rain and there is barely a breeze. So much for us getting a storm. The rest of Florida is getting pounded with it though.
We thought that we would have to evacuate last night or this morning. The evacuation was downgraded to voluntary, so we didn't have to leave. I'm glad because I really just wanted to stay home.

Abbie has been out back picking up all the limes that have fallen from the trees. She likes to put them into the trunk of her Dora car. It's like she goes out lime shopping everyday. At least the yard is getting cleaned up, right?
