Update from the week and a few pics

Abbie and I were sick last weekend. As I said in my last blog entry Abbie had a mixture of symptoms that could have been from flu or teething or the shot. Well, after I got sick on Sunday we decided that it must have been the flu. I'm feeling much better now but it was rough for several days. Abbie still doesn't have much appetite and still has some diarea but I feel like she's on the up swing of it now.

We did go to the beach one day this week, even though I should have kept us home. She kind of fools me into thinking that she feels fine. She's the kind of kid who doesn't slow down, even when she's sick, but when she's ready to crash she'll let you know all of a sudden.

We're getting excited for the Elmo Live show tomorrow. I can't wait to see her reaction. The show is at 10am so we should have perfect timing for lunch on the way home and hopefully she'll fall asleep too.

Abbie is officially in the big girl bed. I took the rail off the crib and put on the toddler bed rails. It's one short rail on each end of the crib with a gap in the middle. Well, Abbie still rolls around alot and goes from one end of the crib to the other. She was falling out several times a night. Sometimes she would come to our room and other times she just slept where she fell. One night however, I did find her standing in the dinning room with a dazed look on her face( I think she was sleep walking). So, I've made the move to the pink "big girl" bed. She had been apprehensive about it every time I tried before. But, now in order for her to go to sleep without hte confines of the crib I have to rock her to sleep or take her for a car ride. So, consequently she's always asleep when I lay her down, so she can't fight it. She's done much better in this bed. I haven't decided yet if we'll take down the crib or just leave it up til Sam is ready for it.

Abbie dressed herself in this picture. I think she was trying to go to work with Daddy.
