Update from the week

Last weekend when we were looking for the Harvest festival we got lost and found this great nature preserve with walking trails and a play ground so, Abbie and I went back on Sunday. We walked a few short paths with boardwalks and then played for a while. It was a really nice day. Our weather started to turn colder this past week. That morning was a little cool but it warmed up by the afternoon. At night we cool off to about 50 degrees now and warm to around 65 degrees. Maybe we'll just sit here and take a break. Is this bench HUGE, or is it just me?

We went to the mall on Saturday. The plan was to just to a couple of things and get home early. Well, as it turns out that was the day Barney was to make an appearance at the mall. I had the great idea to stand in line so that Abbie could have her picture taken with Barney. When I got in line we were about 25 people back. Standing there with Abbie in her stroller I just new that this line was going to to be too long, so when they came along and said that there was no line for Chicka the Chicken I went for it. We never watch Barney anyway, so I figured she wouldn't know the difference. We waited about 20 minutes and Abbie actually did really well. We saw Barney come out and head over to the other area and then we saw this stupid little chicken come out. Turns out it was doing a weather report and we could do it with her. Ya, not so much... I just know that Abbie would NOT have been into that. She started to get antsy, so we left. She was fine though because she did get to see Barney. As we were leaving you could see that the line had grown to about 200 people! Turns out we had a GREAT spot in that line. Live and learn Momma - live and learn!

The next morning as soon as she woke up, Abbie came into my room and said "oh no! Momma, Barney at the mall. Barney Momma, at the mall. Barney at the mall!" I'm not sure if she was upset about not seeing him or if she was just talking about it but, either way she remembered! I've been putting Barney on TV for her this week and every time she tells me about seeing him and Chicka the chicken at the mall.

We stood in line for this stupid chicken because the line was shorter and Mommy couldn't wait in the long line for Barney - Huge mistake!

Peek-a-boo! I see you...

I just took this video today. She was playing with blocks and the Elmo toss game. Then she focused in on the camera and started spelling the name of the camera. You'll hear her say the letter "M" and then I said no there's no "M". Well, yes there is an "M". The name of the camera is FUJI FILM- duh, Momma!

Abbie LOVES letters. Every where we go she screams out the letters that she sees. The grocery store is fun because there are big words everywhere and people stop to listen to her spelling. She's so funny.

My days have been pretty hectic lately so I really haven't kept up with the blog too well. Abbie doesn't really nap anymore. Since we put her into the toddler bed she just can't settle down enough during the day. At night she goes right to sleep though since she's pretty exhausted by that point. She has Three 2yr molars for sure and I'm pretty sure that the fourth came through yesterday. She's tired of me sticking my fingers in there to check, so I can't tell for sure. I'm hoping that she settles back into a good routine once the teeth are done. For now though, she's pretty CRAZY!!!!
