After weeks of getting the run around with my insurance company I finally tracked down an OBGYN. TRI-Care had our address wrong so my PCM got held up even getting the 1st referal into the system. I left that obgyn 3 messages that I would like to schedule an appointment. I gave them my details, that I'm so far along, just moved here, I have tri-care insurance etc. They never got back to me. I finally spoke to the right person at that office only to find that they don't take my insurance for pregnancy - Aaaahhhhh!!! I was waiting for a phone call. Common decency says that you at least call back this person, right? Okay, so I get another referal from the PCM - same exact story there. 3 weeks later I finally took action and found a wonderful obgyn. I met the staff yesterday and they were very helpful. When the nurse realized how far along I am she took me right into the office and set me up with the scheduling nurse. She also put me in for blood work that I need ASAP and made sure that my ultra sound is scheduled for next week.
I am so happy with this office and look forward to meeting the doctors. They are 2 male doctors. I was hoping for a female doctor just because thats what I'm used to but I'll be happy to have good doctors and nurses at this point.
Since I had a C-section with Abbie I'll have to have another this time. They should schedule that soon. Hopefully I'll know the sex of the baby next week and soon after that I'll even know the birth date abd time - wow! It finally feels real. Also the fact that my belly has expanded greatly this week I now look and feel pregnant. Next week I'll be at 20 weeks which is the half way mark.
