It seemed like we were having a good day yesterday. That is until 5 o'clock when
everything went wrong... Abbie wouldn't eat the beef stew that I spent the day cooking. Whatever, she hasn't eaten well since being sick. I through the "small" amount of leftover into the garbage disposal and the stupid thing backed up.
PJ hit it with the plunger - no luck. We're dealing with that when Abbie decides to get into the cupboard with the
Tupperware bowels. Earlier in the day she got into another cupboard and broke a glass baking dish, so at this point I've had enough of her getting into the cupboards. In a pregnant hormonal rage, I tell
PJ that he needs to fix the child lock on that door. He, being the understanding wonderful man that he is, gets out the tools. Abbie and I head to the TV to relax with some Blues Clue to get out of
Daddies' way. Somehow she got hold of a pen along the way. Instead of taking the pen away from her, I get out the big pad of
paper so that she can use the pen. At some point the pen is thrown and she's off to the kitchen to get into what Daddy is doing. I push away the
coffee table to find the lost pen when I'm greeted by some kind of
creepy crawly worm like bug. In my haste to get
PJ to save us from this 2 inch worm (which I thought was a baby killer snake) I don't notice that Abbie has found the lost pen and is now drawing on the couch.

The child lock never got fixed and the sink stayed plugged til this morning. I couldn't run the dishwasher, so the counters were stacked up with dirty dishes til this morning. Oh ya, and the plunger made the drain leak so everything under the counter got wet and had to sit
on top of the counter til this morning. Let's not forget that the bathroom faucets were replaced yesterday and somehow the plumber didn't tighten the fittings under the counter, so all my bathroom towels were soaked this morning too. - Man, when it goes wrong for us it all goes wrong.

I tried to put Abbie in time out when the pen incident happened. Let's just say that we have a long way to go with our
discipline skills. She had no concept of it being wrong and just laughed at me like it was a big game.
On a much lighter note, I'm also attempting potty training. She has had

the potty for a while and sits on it when mommy goes, but she had never officially "used" it. I've been talking about the potty a lot more. Today she took my hand and lead me into the bathroom. We've made a few attempts today, but no action yet. She just likes to sit there and pretend to use the toilet paper. She also likes to read the baby magazines that I have in there. Then she likes to flush the toilet repeatedly. So, we are making the attempt. I think that we'll make some progress soon. I just have to continue with it.

Those pictures are adorable! Love the one of her reading the magazine!
I love how the pix go with the story! It does seem to rain and pour! Hope things get better.
